Let us transport you back in time, to the days of colonial opulence and unrivalled luxury. A time where, only the very finest and superior of street lighting, would be allowed to represent and adorn our fabulous cities and colonial empires, throughout the world.
These wonderful, replicas reflect the world renowned skills of the Blacksmith and are a joy to behold. The most original and ornate of these lampposts and lanterns have now become relatively rare, although some still survive, but only in the most select and culturally important of our public places, Royal Palaces, Landmark buildings and Public squares.
All hand cast and hand wrought, our Lamp posts and Lanterns are heavily adorned, with some reflecting a little of the history of the place for which they were originally designed.
They are incredibly heavy and totally unrivalled in quality from any other. The hand worked Lanterns contain, only hand crafted glass, which contains all the original elements of their ancestors, although we have added galvanised steel, internal hoods and reflector plates, to ensure they give good quality light, and reduce a little of the overhead weight.
The large heavy base, has no less than eight facades, the four larger ones depicting a royal lions head. Above these are sited four coiled serpents. The whole lamppost has numerous turnings, which include vines, leaves, etc. Heavily scrolled arms support the hexagonal, crowned l lanterns, which are finished with additional “Castle Top” crowns . The result is a beautiful piece of Iron artwork, that has both historical and cultural significance.
These delightful creations are essential for recreating the period ambience of the rich and fascinating imperial Cities, whose former glories are slowly disappearing into the past. These Lampposts and lanterns are available in three sizes to suit all applications, and settings.
The Small and Medium versions each have two lanterns with an ornate centre finial as shown.
The Large version, has no less than five, fabulous, hexagonal Lanterns, with the fifth Lantern situation in the centre. These are quite magnificent. The larger versions are perfect for any commercial setting where you are wanting to create an atmosphere of luxury and superior splendour.
