Going Green in the Black Country
Black Country Metal Works Ltd, suppliers of high end gift to the garden centre industry, have taken ‘going green’ very seriously.
Looking at how they could best ensure reduced negative impact and increased positive impact on their surroundings they instigated a multi faceted regime of measures.
Gardenlands is the latest garden centre in an impressive line up from the Garden & Leisure group that has commissioned the ‘Store within a Store’ installation from Black Country Metal Works.
Memorial vases are extremely popular, all of our customers buy the actual flower holders, but some forget that the stand is an essential part and so are missing out on added sales from their customers.
Black Country Metalworks Open Days are proving a great success for ‘Store within a Store’ customers. The latest at Cadbury Garden & Leisure on the 12th of May saw a parade of customers through the door, figures aren’t in yet but their previous open day at Melbicks increased sales of BCM products by over 400%.
Ron Harker and Gwen Cawthry own and run Tong Garden Centre in Bradford, a thriving and comprehensive garden centre that stocks everything from Tropical Fish to Silk Flowers. Plants of course come top of the list, the bedding plant section, trees and border plants create a fantastic vista and give the whole store a very bright and exotic feel.
