Groundbreaking news
It’s always heartening to us when a customer is rendered speechless by our initiative. It’s happened again, this time at Trentham Garden Centre in North Staffordshire, a flagship store for the Blue Diamond group.
As is our forte, we were installing a double cube plinth for our merchandise, when we were asked if the internal space in that unit could be utilised as a security cupboard. One fully secure door later it was done. But that was just the beginning. It drew attention from other departments who could also see the usefulness of a security cupboard to place items of value and so the word began to spread. (We left them fighting over it).

Yet again we are being hailed as the most proactive and innovative company when it comes to merchandising. And that’s how we see it as well; our job is to drive the market forward, to initiate new, exciting moves but also very practical and useful ones. So please please ask us for ideas on how our products and merchandisers can really add value to your store, we really can help, just ask our other clients.

Brief note to you here………..
we were in this space going to put a picture of a ‘ravaged’ store within a store section. Why? Well, we were at Stapeley water gardens the other day and that’s what we saw. Actually more scavenged than ravaged. It had been decimated to be honest, stripped to the bones by eager customers. It’s nice to see, but we’re keen that it gets refilled quickly so that the next hoards of customers don’t lose out. So if you’re one of our lucky top stores to have our fully fitted Store within a Store sections then beware, the customers can be brutal in their shopping frenzies, they leave no aisle unscathed. Make sure that you have plenty of replacement stock on hand.

What they had only served them half as well (obviously). We’re delighted of course; they’ll make twice the sales, twice the profit and please twice the amount of customers. What’ll their neighbouring garden centres think?

The North West Farmers Group
The North West Farmers Group owns an increasing number of garden centres and Woodford Park is the first of theirs to be home to one of our Stores within a Store. Keep your eyes peeled for more news and images on this as they come in…..

What else can we call it, it’s POS material, leaflets for telling the customers what’s available, for generating sales both in store and if they take them home then they’ll remind them that you sell that range in your store. So why wouldn’t you have them? On tables, on till ends, by the products themselves, basically everywhere that they can go. We’ll even give you the stands! Don’t let your sales be anything less than extraordinary for the sake of a few POS leaflets. There’s literally one for every range.

Ceramic Light Pulls, yes the thing on the end of a string in your bathroom.
They’re going like hot cakes, weird isn’t it? Allowing roughly two per household, (on bathroom lights), we must have something hanging on hundreds and hundreds of households across the country. Is it catching? So why would this benefit you? Margins….interested? You get 200% profit on each one and they retail at half the price of the ones in the vast majority of bathroom stores. No contest then, functional, huge range of colours and designs and great prices. A no brainer.
Last note:
did you come along and see us at Spring Fair or did you get stuck in the snow? We had a great time, saw a whole range of customers, thank you to all who made it. Obviously the last day crippled most of the traffic and made getting back a downright nuisance, but it’s always worth it.
