For items which are up to a shoe box in size, we do make every effort to dispatch in 48 working hours. Items which are larger are generally dispatched within 7-10 working days as finishing and packaging work may take significantly longer.
During the busiest times of year (i.e. Christmas) this may take longer due to circumstances beyond our control. We will endeavour to contact or inform you whenever any items fall outside this 7-10 working day range or if an item becomes unavailable, due to another local works or artist for which we rely upon them for all or component parts of a product.
Next Day Delivery
We have an Express Delivery option (for items ordered before 12pm) which will be despatched on the same day on a next day working day service. This means your order should arrive on the next working day after the order was placed. This option is available on selected products on the website, for any without this option you will need to enquire over the phone for availability. Even if orders are despatched on a next working day service, we cannot guarantee that the delivery will be made, delays arising with the courier or Royal Mail are outside of our control and are not completely unavoidable.
If no one is in to sign/accept the parcel, this could mean the parcel is undeliverable. Occasionally at the time of packing we may discover a product is unavailable for next day delivery, we will notify you of this as quickly as possible.
Next day delivery is only available to mainland UK addresses (this does not include the Scottish Highland's or Island's, Ireland, Scilly Isle's, Channel Island's or Isle Of Man).
Free Next Day Delivery and Next Day Delivery
We will make every effort to ensure that your item is dispatched and delivered next day. This will happen 99.9% of the time. Occasionally due to circumstances outside of our control i.e. raw material supplies, labour, courier breakdown etc. The next day delivery may not occur. We cannot take responsibility where this is not been achieved, but will make every effort to ensure your item reaches you as quickly as possible. This service only applies to non-bespoke items requiring no specialist work and for delivery addresses within mainland UK excluding Ireland, highlands and Islands. Orders must be received before 12 noon. We recommend waiting until your item has arrived before arranging tradespersons. Orders that are placed after 12 on a Friday will be dispatched the next working day on the Monday. Orders that are placed on a weekend will not qualify for free next day delivery. Please note: Black Country Metal Works do not operate on bank holidays and seasonal holidays.

Checking Goods for damage and notifying Black Country Metal Works.
For small deliveries that arrive with carriers you agree to open all boxes and thoroughly check the goods for damage and notify us of any damage within 7 days of the delivery. If we are not notified of damage within 7 days we are unable to claim from either the manufacturer or the carrier. You agree to indemnify us in full for any losses we suffer as a result of your failure to notify us within 7 days. For large deliveries you agree to check the goods for damage before signing the (GDN) delivery note. If you sign for the goods, even if you write the words "Unchecked" or similar on the delivery note, then you are accepting that the goods arrived in good condition and later claims for damages will not be considered. If the driver refuses to wait while you check the goods then you must refuse to accept the delivery and email firstname.lastname@example.org with the details as soon as possible. If someone else is signing for the goods on your behalf you agree to advise them that the goods must be checked and you accept full responsibility for any loss or damage if they sign on your behalf and fail to check. You agree to indemnify us in full for any losses we suffer as a result of you or your agent accepting goods and signing a delivery note without thoroughly checking the goods for damage.
