Product Information

This stylish teapot is styled on the traditional Japanese dragonfly teapot. The dragonfly is symbolic in Japanese warfare, as the ancient name for dragonfly in Japanese was "kachimushi". In the Japensese Ancient language, "Kachimushi" means victory insect. The teapot is made from cast iron and finished in navy blue. The cast iron teapot has been coated inside with enamel and comes with a steel mesh strainer, the best way to brew loose teas. The teapot will remain hotter for longer compared to ceramic or glass teapots due to the thermal conductivity of cast iron.

To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Please note that this teapot has been lined with an enamel interior.

Whether you’re looking to revamp an existing staircase or you’re seeking that perfect finishing touch for a new one, this modern stair spindle is bound to add style to any stairway! Crafted from solid wrought iron and left unlacquered, this design comes complete with classic twist detailing and a hammered central eyelet for true authenticity. A simply beautiful example of traditional design meets modern simplicity.

Please note that this design in supplied singularly and the number of spindles you require will need adjusting according to your requirements before adding to your basket. Available with or without brackets. If fitting to a flat/horizontal surface, purchase with landing brackets. If fitting to a stairwell, please purchase with multi-angle rake brackets. Please note, brackets are supplied with a powder coated black finish.

This product has been designed to age naturally and develop its own patina over time. For authenticity, this product is supplied unlacquered and has, instead, been expertly hand waxed. This wax serves as a basic protective layer against moisture however, if exposed to the outdoor elements for prolonged periods of time, this item will develop a surface rust. If required, the wax layer can be removed using a light oil such as WD40 with a fine-grade wire wool and then re-finished with a metal-based paint. Please see our product maintenance guides for further information. Due to the handmade nature of this item, some designs may vary.

Styled on the traditional Japanese designs, this small cast iron teapot features a criss-cross pattern on the side and the lid. The teapot has been finished in white and gold making this item a real eye-catching gem. The cast iron teapot has been coated inside with enamel and comes with a steel mesh strainer, the best way to brew loose teas. The teapot will remain hotter for longer compared to ceramic or glass teapots due to the thermal conductivity of cast iron.

To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Please note that this teapot has been lined with an enamel interior.

This wonderfully classic stair spindle design has been expertly handcrafted from wrought iron and left unlacquered, using traditional blacksmithing methods. Featuring a classic twist design complete with two hammered eyelets, this spindle is as stylish as it is practical and will invite a sense of traditional charm into your setting for many years to come.

Please note that this design in supplied singularly and the number of spindles you require will need adjusting according to your requirements before adding to your basket. Available with or without brackets. If fitting to a flat/horizontal surface, purchase with landing brackets. If fitting to a stairwell, please purchase with multi-angle rake brackets. Please note, brackets are supplied with a powder coated black finish.

This product has been designed to age naturally and develop its own patina over time. For authenticity, this product is supplied unlacquered and has, instead, been expertly hand waxed. This wax serves as a basic protective layer against moisture however, if exposed to the outdoor elements for prolonged periods of time, this item will develop a surface rust. If required, the wax layer can be removed using a light oil such as WD40 with a fine-grade wire wool and then re-finished with a metal-based paint. Please see our product maintenance guides for further information. Due to the handmade nature of this item, some designs may vary.
