A stylish post box that can be gate or stand mounted. Fabricated from solid steel, black powder coat finish, with 50mm (2") gold script lettering. The post box has an ornate scrolled detailing around the edges. 

This design is also fitted with a cut key cylinder lock, a touch of elegance to adorn your entrance gate!


Installation for gates

Normally when these are fitted to decorative iron gates, the bars are cut and the box inserted into place then welded directly to the bars or frame.

If you are actually having gates made to order, it’s always advisable to offer the box to the gate manufacture, so they can build the gates and fit the box simultaneously.

Professional advice is always recommended; consult your local blacksmith or mobile welding engineer if possible.

This product has been designed to age naturally and develop its own patina over time. For authenticity, this product is supplied unlacquered and has, instead, been expertly hand waxed. This wax serves as a basic protective layer against moisture however, if exposed to the outdoor elements for prolonged periods of time, this item will develop a surface rust. If required, the wax layer can be removed using a light oil such as WD40 with a fine-grade wire wool and then re-finished with a metal-based paint. This fantastic tall letter box is designed to be mounted on gates or within fencing and will ensure post is kept secure over long periods of time. Crafted from robust sheet steel and finished in this regal red colour, this post boxes features an integral pitched roof allowing rainwater to run off with ease.  The aperture is concealed by a vertical flap whilst the opening is accessed through the back on your side of the fence or gate ensuring all post is kept secure and theft-free.

Installation:
Remove the brackets from the top and base, place these on the outside of your gate in the position you wish to install the piece.
Once happy with the installation site, mark out the drill holes and attach each bracket, supplied with three bolts to each of the vertical bars, threading through to the box.
