The highland cow, colloquially referred to as ‘helian coo’ is a Scottish breed of rustic cattle. Deriving from the Scottish Highlands and the Outer Hebrides, this breed of cow features long wavy, woolly coats with large shaped horns. Originally bred for milk and meat, the highland cow is said to the be the oldest registered breed of cattle in the world. An iconic symbol within Scotland, this sculpture has been crafted from heavy cast aluminium and finished in a realistic antique bronze finish. Each strand of coat is detailed providing texture and dimension to this impressive garden sculpture. Ideal placement within large gardens, country homes or at the entrance of a winding driveway as a main feature.
