Victorian Lamp Posts

Quintessentially Victorian in its design and structure, our faithful reproduction of the original 19th-century classic is a timeless addition to your garden or driveway. Crafted from the highest quality materials, the galvanised steel column of our Victorian lamp post provides unrivalled strength and is covered by a lifetime structural guarantee. Built to be robust, the total weight is generally between 40 and 45kgs. Each lantern is hand shaped by expert craftsmen and fitted with a 2amp bayonet bulb holder as standard. For ease of use, our lanterns feature a hinged acrylic glass pane to allow a no-fuss bulb change. We use acrylic rather than traditional glass on our lantern faces. Doing so retains the excellent light distribution of glass, but with the added toughness of acrylic. Leaf detail corner embellishments, and a crown lantern-top finial complete the Victorian style of the piece.

Choose between matt satin black and the rich hues of our polished copper lantern head. The nature of copper is such that it will oxidise and patina naturally over time, taking on a marbled Verdigris, unless regular care and maintenance are undertaken.

Each lantern is mounted on a scrolled frog collar with an 80mm internal diameter, making them a perfect fit for original cast iron lamp posts, most of which have a 3” or 76mm spigot. If you have bespoke collar size requirements we can offer custom sizes to order.

Lamp posts should be fitted by a qualified electrician and builder. Each lantern’s collar features a cabling stem at its centre, with an electrical inspection hatch at the base of the lamp post. Fixing kit with rawl bolts and base stencil provided for ease of installation.
