British Ironworks Commissions disabled Centre to create a Tree for Shrewsbury Flower show

Maesbury metals is a local authority workshop based in Oswestry, providing training support & welfare for adults with learning disability’s within the community, the workshop produces a wide range of bespoke metal products. 

They have formed a unique alliance with the British Ironwork centre, as Community Champions BIC have pledged support and resources in aiding Maesbury metals to participate in the Oswestry Safari trail.
The Manager Mr Peter Humber bought a large party of service users to BIC to see the centre and the incredible range of decorative metalwork on display.

Many of the members are incredibly passionate about what they do and their involvement with Maesbury metals, Pete Phillips, workshop member said, “Without Maesbury Metals we wouldn’t have learnt so much.” 
Gavin Rhyn, workshop member had added “We make friends not just products”.

Mr Pete Humber (Workshop Manager) was quoted as saying, “The support provided by the British Ironwork centre is incredibly generous and we hope to use our skills here at the Maesbury metals workshop to enhance the Oswestry Safari trail.”

Mr Clive Knowles Managing Director of BIC said:, “This community spirit is growing stronger , the more we all discuss our aims and ambitions. The Centre on Maesbury industrial estate is an enormous credit to the town and county and I feel quite humbled by the work they all do , in helping there workforce become more confident and independent.”
