Lighting A Way To Paradise

Black Country Metal Works are delighted to announce their involvement in a wonderful new BBC, drama that is coming to our screens in 2013.
Based on the acclaimed book, "The Paradise", the story is the rags to riches rise of young Denise, who in the 1890,s comes to a northern city in England, to work as a shop girl, in a glittering, new department store, just at the moment when society is waking up to the joys and temptations of shopping.
Set to become a huge hit, the story revolves around the daily life of Denise and the drama , s that unfold, behind the scenes, in the running of a luxurious department store. With a powerful story line and lots of period charm, it is billed as "larkrise comes to the city" (see the BBC Press release for more information). 
With attention to detail being of the utmost importance, we are delighted to be able to supply the wonderful, atmospheric lighting that would have been used during this fascinating period.
Drawing on our own knowledge and extensive range of period lighting, we have been able to provide stunning Victorian lampposts and lanterns, that will help set the street scenes and transport us back to a wonderful Victorian England. All hand made, in fabulous Iron, and steel, and finished in our satin, vintage black finish, these captivating, and beautiful , Victorian giants, are exactly as they would have been, and will help to set the scene on this exciting and eagerly awaited series.
