Customer service as it should be!

I recently purchased a windspinner from Black Country Metal Works and unfortunately it had a fault and I think it may have distorted in transit, but never mind, these things happen and even as a stationary item it was still a work of art and extremely well made. I contacted the company to inform them of the fault and I received a very prompt concerned reply requesting that I carry out some checks and to let them know the results. Once agreed the unit was faulty, it was arranged that a replacement would be sent and the faulty unit collected. This was all sorted within a couple of days and we now have a beautiful windspinner that is just mesmerising. In the real world sometimes things go wrong, but it’s how we cope with it that is important and Black Country Metal Works get full marks from me.

When we first read about Black Country Metals we had been looking for ways to encourage new customers to our rather “off the beaten track” life-style shop. We drove to the showroom and had a look around and were really impressed by the scale of the site, quality of work and the overwhelming friendliness and helpfulness of the staff before approaching Clive Knowles for his help. Within a couple of weeks our Gecko/lizard arrived which was positioned inside the shop but whilst on site it was decided that due to the size of the building we could carry a large scale sculpture hence the arrival of the butterflies.

We are incredibly grateful and impressed with the philanthropic ethos of Black Country Metals.

I have just taken delivery of a Celestial Armillary Sundial, and just wanted to say how fantastic it is.

I have been looking for an armillary sundial for a while now, but was specific in what I wanted, and this one is perfect - no compromises. In fact, it looks far better in situ than on the website - that’s not a criticism, as I realise it must be difficult to capture the splendour of the piece in a small image. I’m now working out how I can visit you in person to see how much better everything else looks in the flesh!

I ordered the item back in June, and was advised at the time it would be on a long lead time. During the ensuing time your communication has been first rate, and everyone I have talked to has been friendly and helpful. If the ’right’ person was not available, they always called back, same day, without fail, which is something one does not experience often in today’s web based world (although if it hadn’t been for the web, I would have never found you!). Communication on the delivery was also very clear, and the item arrived, well packaged, at the exact time advised.

I wish you every success, and may your business go from strength to strength. I will certainly be recommending you to friends, family, and even complete strangers.
