As this product has been completely handcrafted from British steel and left untreated for true authenticity, it will oxidise and take on a rustic brown patina when exposed to the outdoor elements. This is part of a natural ageing process and will not affect the integrity or durability of the metal itself, instead adding further charm to the piece. There may also be naturally occurring blemishes due to the forging process used to create these items. The hinged door should also be oiled regularly to avoid ceasing, especially during the winter months.

Due to oxidisation, this product may mark the surface that it is placed upon. When in use, we do not advise placing your product on lawns or terrain which may be sensitive to heat as this could scorch the area underneath.
