Please note that, as this nursery guard doesn’t have any mesh inserts to keep spitting embers contained, it isn't suitable for open fires. This fire guard should be placed a minimum distance of 75cm (29.6") away from any heat source to ensure maximum safety. As every fireplace is different, we’d always recommend taking due care to test how hot your fire guard gets at the suggested distance. If it’s still hot to the touch after use, we’d suggest moving it further away from the heat source.

It's not possible to fully baby proof a fireplace. Babies and children should never be left alone in a room with a wood burner or any other heat source - even when a fire guard is in place.
