Fire Guards for Babies

The Baby Dan Flex System is an extendable hearth guard for children that conforms to the newest child safety gate standard, EN1930:2011.

With interlocking panel units that you can configure in different ways, the Baby Dan hearth gate is designed to keep children up to 24-months-old away from a hearth or fireplace. After the 24 month mark, children have the cognitive reasoning to be able to climb or open the gate.

Please note, it's not possible to fully baby proof a fireplace. Babies and children should never be left alone in a room with an open fire, wood burner, or any other heat source - even with a fireguard.
